Outfit August A Look Back

As it is the last day of August (who can believe how fast this month has gone!!) I thought I would do a round up of my Outfit August posts.

I did intend to try and blog everyday but unfortunately life got in the way at times which meant it just didn't happen but overall I did document 20 different outfits!!

I hope you enjoyed the journey through my outfits this month and now please bear with me whilst I work out what I am going to find to blog about next month!!!!

Outfit August Day 26

Hello and happy Wednesday and also welcome to Day 26 of Outft August.

The weather has been a bit changeable this week so I dug through my wardrobe to see what I could make weather appropriate!

Sorry but again this another top that has featured on the blog before but I do love it!! I picked up in Zara for £5 last year, it is hugely oversized but so comfy!

Outfit August Day 24

Hello and welcome to Day 24 of Outfit August and I hope you are all still with me!!

Sadly it seems the weather is already turning chillier so I decided to wear a lovely ASOS Curve dress which I bought from Toni over at The Left of Perfect. Now I know I featured this dress early on in Outfit August but I took a quick mirror selfie and this dress deserved some proper pictures!

I love this smock dress although it can be a pit perilous in windy weather!!! The last time I checked the ASOS website this had sold out but if you mooch on Ebay you may find one! Apologies I have my denim jacket on again, I love this jacket and am very happy to have finally found one I really like!

Outfit August Day 23

Hello and welcome to Day 23 of Outfit August and the end is in sight!!! Apologies for the lack of outfits this week I did want to post everyday but I had a few days when I wasn't feeling too bright!

Anyway I am back and today it's time for a bit of Pink Clove!

This is the final outfit from Style XL which I modelled and was again very generously allowed to keep, it is a swing vest and skater skirt both from Pink Clove.  I am happy to have finally found a skirt that I find comfortable and that actually sits on my waist which means I can tuck my top in.  I have already planned to wear this outfit when the weather gets cooler with the addition of tights and my brogues as florals aren't just for summer!!

Outfit August Day 21

Hello and welcome to Day 21 of Outfit August!

Firstly let me apologise for my absence over the last few days but work has been really busy and I have felt under the weather so the blog had to take a back seat for a couple of days!!

Just a quick outfit from me today and this is what I wore to work, its an oldie but a goodie!

This Simply Be dress has been on the blog at least twice before so sorry if you have already seen it!! I do love this dress but I did add a vest underneath today for modesty whilst at work as otherwise I am a bit too booby for the office!! This dress is sometimes on Crazy Clearance or you may find one on Ebay with a bit of searching!

As I am pooped at the moment it may be a but quieter on the blog but rest assured I am still here!!

Electric Feel with New Look*

I was recently contacted by New Look and asked if I would like to style an outfit from their Inspire Range based on the Electric Feel trend which is tropical prints and neon colours. The one thing I have been looking at all summer is bright blazers and kimonos so here is what I went with.

Bargain £4 sale necklace!

I love this blazer* its bright, floral and cheerful what more could you want!! I teamed it with the cross back vest* which has a slight dipped hem at the back and a lovely cross over detail which makes it more interesting than just a plain vest top. To finish the outfit I chose my acid wash skinny jeans and pink sandals which I bought after my birthday with a voucher. The necklace I came across on Friday on the sale rail in New Look for a bargain £4 and I knew it would be perfect with this outfit.

Your Writing Process

I have been tagged to take part in a blog hop by the lovely Vicky from The Curved Opinion to answer some questions about how I write my blog.

1. What are you working on?

At the moment I am in the middle of Outfit August which has seen me posting an outfit every day this month (I failed today)! I also have some more challenge posts this month to do and I still need to take part in Becky's new linky challenge before the month ends!!

2. How does my work differ from others in the genre?

I don't think I am vastly different from most other plus size fashion bloggers, most of my posts are outfit orientated with occasional beauty and ranty posts thrown in!! I also do the odd Youtube video but these are far and few between!!

3. Why do I write what I do?

I think partly its because I like to have a creative outlet and I find it fun to put together outfits and say well here is what I wore today!!! I have always liked fashion and shopping and as a plus size woman I want to show people that there are no limits or rules we can all wear what we want. I have also found that through blogging my body confidence has vastly improved and I am much more experimental in what I will consider wearing. If just one person looks at my blog and thinks I could wear that then my job is done!

4. How does your writing process work?

I don't really have a set routine, for me I sit down as and when I can to fit in around work and my family life. Occasionally I make notes but a lot of the time it comes from an outfit that I think is blog worthy or for a challenge that is due! I take my photos upload and edit them and then sit down and write the post. I will admit that I don't put much forethought into what I type it tends to just spill out of my brain and onto the screen!!! I sometimes think this is better as hopefully my writing style reflects my personality and doesn't appear forced or contrived!

Outfit August day 15

Hello and welcome to day 15 of Outfit August.

Today I spent the day with my son, niece and nephew so I wanted a comfortable outfit and I already knew the dress that I wanted to wear.

 My niece also wanted to get in on the blog photos so here she is!

She loves these red shoes and was pretending to be Dorothy from Wizard of Oz!

 About the dress- its from Simply Be and I have been looking at it for awhile but actually managed to get my hands on it via the lovely Sam as she was selling hers due to it being too big. It is very generous in size but you know me and my love of oversized things so it had to be mine!! If you are thinking of getting this dress then I would size down this is the 20-22 and it would easily fit 24+ dependent on boob size.

I was right it has served me very well today being both comfy and practical when dealing with three children who between them are a tornado of energy!!

I Feel Good

Outfit August Day 14

Hello and welcome to Day 14 of Outfit August!

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I attended Style XL a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to keep the outfits that I modelled on the catwalk. So today I bring you an amazing dress from Yours Clothing.

When I first found out that this was the dress that Yours had chosen for me I did a little squeal and then I did an even bigger one when I found out I could take it home with me!!! I decided to go this in a 22 as it is a bodycon style, and the fit for me is spot on with enough boob room! It is made from a good stretchy material so it is comfortable to wear and move around in. The other thing I like is that the straps are adjustable which for me and my narrow shoulders is a god send! I often struggle with straps falling down or being too long so it leaves too much of my bra on show!
