Style it Saturday

Hello and welcome to the first in a new monthly challenge called Style it Saturday.

Style It Saturday is a celebration of individuality which allows bloggers involved to showcase their own unique style. Each month there is a theme which we interpret to suit our styles and shapes, in order to share ideas and put our own imaginations to the test!

The ladies behind this challenge are the lovely Bee and Emily

You can check out the details on Emilys Page Style it Saturday

So the first theme is Punk and Pretty!!!

A rare shot of me without my glasses on!

I will admit that I struggled with this one as I didn't know what to wear but in the end decided to go with my Adventure Time Lump Space Princess T-shirt, New Look shorts and trainers and tights!

I also added loads more eye make up than I would normally wear!

Don't forget to check out the other fabulous ladies to see their take on the theme!

Style It My Way

Hello and welcome to another 'Style it my Way' challenge and theme for this week is Denim. Now I wear jeans a lot so rather than do a skinny jeans post I decided to use my denim shirt instead.

The shirt I got from Primark earlier this year and it just about copes with my boobs but there is some gaping, the mini skirt was from a blog sale, leggings from Peacocks and trainers from New Look.

If you fancy taking part in this style challenge then head over and see Felicity Hart where you can find all the details.

Also look out for the other fabulous ladies taking part by searching for #styleitmyway on Twitter.

OMCZ #14

Hello and welcome to another OMCZ challenge and the theme this time was chosen by the lovely Nat.

Unleash your wild side

Leopard, cheetah, zebra....... I hope that will join me in unleashing your wild side and show some love for  animal print! Shoes, tops ,bags or be brave and go head to toe!

Now I can remember when I first started the blog I featured an animal print dress so I decided to use it again but this time I braved it with bare legs!!

In the past I have shyed away from animal print but when I saw this dress in Quiz I knew I had to have it it is about a year old now but I still love it and decided to team it with my old Office heels which are ancient but still going strong!!

I have one more picture to include which made me laugh as I look like the 60ft woman due to the angle hubby shot it from he was trying to photograph my legs as he likes them!!!!

Date Night OOTD

So hubby and I actually managed to have a drink on our own child free at the pub tonight so I thought I would do a quick OOTD for you!

I decided to be a bit different and wear my favourite tight skirt which I found on Ebay and my trusty Peplum top from Dorothy Perkins and flats from Primark.

Here is hubby and me at the pub and I had a fit of the giggles!

Anna Scholz Five-Way Review

*I was recently contacted by Simply Be and asked if I would like to take part in a five way review and choose an item from the new Anna Scholz collection to try and review after I had finished jumping up and down in excitement, I had a look through the collection and after much deliberation and some input from my husband chose to try the Jewel Print Dress.

Having never worn anything by Anna Scholz before I took a chance and asked to try a size 20, which as it turned out was a good choice as it skims my tummy without being too clingy or in turn to large across my tummy whilst still having enough room for my boobs. It also has ruching on one side of the waist which for me gave a nice flattering fit and added a bit more detail. I added my trusty black high heels and some earrings and I was all set!

e

Normally when I wear closer fitting dresses I put shapewear on underneath but with this one I didn't as it is lined and I felt that the shape it gave me was just right. With regards to the length on me it is more of a midi dress as I am 5' 4" so if you are taller this would still be a good length without being indecent!
I also like the asymmetric neckline with the little notch and because there is so much print on the dress I decided I didn't need a necklace so just added earrings.
For me the print of the dress being diamonds and gemstones is rather appropriate as I work in the jewellery trade and think this would make a great dress to wear for a Christmas party or formal event.

The new collection is now available at Simply Be so go and check it out!

Also don't forget to check the other lovely ladies who are also taking part in this review.

Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipsticks

I was lucky enough to win a Twitter Competition from Simply Be and the prize was three Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipsticks.
I have to admit this is a brand that I have never tried before so I was really excited to have won as it has given me the chance to try them for the first time.

The shades I received are Coraline, Starlight and Simply Red

Wearing Coraline

I must admit I really do like them, I often find a lot of lipsticks to dry and but these have a lovely creamy texture and apply really well, I love all the colours but my favourite so far is Coraline but my husband loves the Simply Red!

Thanks for reading!

Lazy Day OOTD

Hello I thought I would do a quick OOTD of what I wore yesterday for my last day off before returning to work. Oliver and I had a lazy day after two very busy days and only made it as far as the local park so I opted for my comfy skater dress from Peacocks teamed with my trusty Superdry trainers.

I have had this dress for ages and I wear it both for work and on a casual basis but this is the first time (I think) that I have shown it on the blog.

I also put on my fab M&M necklace which I won from Steph at Seeing Spots.

I really need to invest in some more of these jersey skater dresses as they are so easy to throw on over leggings and super comfy to wear.
