Days Out- Packwood House Lapworth
As it was Mr S's birthday recently I treated us all to a family membership with The National Trust (I pay for it monthly to make it affordable). Most weekends we had reached the point where we were stuck for ideas on where to go as there are only so many times you can visit the same coffee shops!!

31 Outfits of May Days Seven and Eight
Hello and welcome to days seven and eight of 31 Outfits of May, I have doubled up today as I didn't have time to sit down and blog yesterday-blame my afternoon nap!
Yesterday we headed off to Studley Carboot which is massive and somewhere I love to go for a good mooch and of course a hotdog from one of the many food trucks!!
We had to be there for 8.45 to meet my in-laws so I just threw on a comfy outfit and away we went!
My jeans are of course my trust Evans skinnies and my hoody and top are both from Everything Five Pounds. I took a chance with these and I'm glad I did as the top is actually from Dorothy Perkins and the hoody is Evans so not bad for a fiver each! My trainers are Nike and were a really good find on Ebay for about £11 brand new!
Also a special mention for my Tardis necklace which I got as part of a gift swap that I took part in!
We managed to find a second hand BMX bike for Oliver for £20.00 and of course he also came home with two more fidget spinners!!
Onto today's outfit and as I was tired this morning I just grabbed my old New Look T-shirt dress and Aldi leggings and off I went!
To be fair I didn't wear my trainers all day at work I changed when I got there into some ballet flats that are too flat for anything apart from wandering around the office in!
Excuse the photos but these were taken after work and I am flagging today!
See you tomorrow!

31 Outfits of May Day Six
Hello and I start today with an apology as there will be no day five as I pretty much wore the same outfit for day five and six- whoops!!
As much as I love my dresses I fell back in love with my jeans last year, and I have been creating outfits around them. I soon realised that I didn't have many tops so I have bought a few here and there to update my wardrobe.
My jeans which are from Evans are for me the holy grail of skinny jeans, I love the colour the fit everything about them so much that I bought a second pair!!
My t-shirt is from Simply Be and can still be found on Crazy Clearance as I bought it last year, I like it as it has a v neck at the back. The cardigan was a bargain £5 from Primark in the sale and my watermelon scarf I found in H&M either last year or the year before.

31 Outfits of May Day Four
Hello and welcome to day four of 31 Outfits of May and of course today is May 4th which means it's Star Wars Day- yay!!!!
So since I don't own any clothing with Star Wars on I had to improvise!!
I know I know there are no unicorns in Star Wars but it is set in space and this dress has planets and constellations on it- a tenuous link I know but I quite honestly I never need an excuse to wear this dress!
I was going to save it until later in the month but I decided to bring it out early as I love wearing it! Be warned the skirt is quite lightweight so a good gust of wind and the world is going to see your knickers!!
I had wanted this dress for ages but hung on and hung until it was reduced and then grabbed one and although I admit I do feel like I am going to a children's birthday party when I wear it, this is the type of dress that can never fail to make you smile!!

31 Outfits of May Day Three
Hello and welcome to Day Three of 31 Outfits of May and today's is a staple of my work wardrobe and something I wear at least once a week.
This is a dress that I picked up in the New Look sale last year for about £12.00 and it is so comfy to wear for work. I liked the neck and shoulder detail as it makes it slightly different and it's smart whilst still having detailing that I like.
My shoes are Primark from last year as to be fair I buy a new pair of brogues each year to wear for the colder months but just recently these have developed a squeak when I walk!
My tights are my trusty 100 denier from Primark and these have been my go to tights for a few years now.
Join me tomorrow for Day 4 and Star Wars Day!

31 Outfits of May Day Two
Hello and welcome to day two of 31 Outfits of May and today's outfit is an oldie but with a new twist!
To be fair most of you will have seen this dress on the blog at least once as I wear it a lot, but this time I have teamed it up with my new ladybird cardigan- why yes I have ladybirds on my cardigan!
The dress is of course an old Simply Be one and probably one of the comfiest items of clothing in my wardrobe and I shall be devastated on the day it finally gives up and goes to fashion heaven.
The cardigan is from Primark which to be fair is where most of my cardigans come from (I am a cardigan addict) and I am so in love with it! The necklace was 99p from Ebay and my shoes are from New Look last year.
I always think you can tell how happy an outfit makes me by how many photos I take or how I appear in them!
Yes my hair is pink!!

31 Outfits Of May Day One
Hello is anyone still there after all this time?! I know I have been awol since March which has been due to work commitments and just a general lack of time and enthusiasm if I'm really honest.
You may remember that last year I did the 31 Dresses of May and I have decided to do a variation of that challenge again this year but this time it will be general outfits and not just dresses.
I am hoping to complete the challenge of showing you a different outfit everyday but I apologise now if I I don't manage it- fingers crossed I will.
For day one I have decided to go with a top/dress I picked up from Boohoo at the beginning of last month as I wanted something comfy to take on holiday with me (we went to Saltfleet in Lincolnshire) and this fit the bill perfectly.
I must admit I had looked at this top a few times and finally decided to buy it when they had a promotion for cheap next day delivery running!
So from the front it looks quite plain and boring, but wait until I turn around!!
Yes that's right it says Sleep All Day Dance All night on the back which if only that were true!!! My only gripe is the sleeves as they are really long I'm sure that companies just take basic patterns and size them up which then makes some of the proportions wrong! For reference this is a size 28- I sized up as I don't fully trust Boohoo sizing and I wanted this to be flowy and oversized but it also means the neck is large as well!
I am pleased with the way it washed there was no shrinkage and it hasn't lost its shape so that is a win in my book!
I know this look isn't everyone's cup of tea but I do love my oversized dresses and tops and this outfit appeals to my inner 17 year old who would have worn this with DM's!
