Kelly Brook for Simply Be OOTD
If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know that lately I have become rather despondent over the lack of choice for us fats on the actual high street especially as I live in Birmingham!
With this in mind I'm sure you can imagine my delight when I heard that Simply Be were opening a store over at Merry Hill which by car is about 30 minutes away from me. I trundled over there about two weeks ago and had a good mooch around the shop (I was like a kid in a candy store!) and grabbed loads to try on.
This is a rare pleasure for me these days to actually be able to go into a store and try lots of things on and not have to hope I squeeze into the largest size! Near the back of the store was a sale rail and me being a lover of bargains headed over to see what there was. One dress in particular caught my eye from the Kelly Brook range and when I realised that it had pockets (the holy grail of dress design) I grabbed it to try on!
After much deliberation a second trip back again and a second trying on session I gave in and bought it!
I bought the 22 and for me the fit is spot on, enough room for my boobs and not too big on my waist, and the band actually sits on my waist rather than just under my boobs so nips me in nicely. I have worn this dress twice so far once to meet Tess Munster (whole post coming on that soon!) and then to work and I felt comfortable all day in it. As it is sleeveless I added a cardigan for warmth but I can see me wearing this as a summer dress next year as well as the length is perfect.
I should also give a shout out to the Merry Hill branch of Simply Be as the staff are lovely, the changing rooms are lush complete with the magic mirror and the whole feel of the store is amazing- so well done!!
Now just please please please open one in Birmingham as us Brummie fats need you!!!

Hello and welcome to this months Suits You Challenge and this time I am styling the lovely Steph from Seeing Spots.

I thought this look would be ideal for Steph and I think she would look amazing in the dress with the cardigan to keep her warm and the boots to take her from day to night!

Plus Size Lingerie Boutique Review*
As a plus size lady I have often found a lack of options when it comes to fun and sexy lingerie, so when Plus Size Lingerie Boutique asked if I would like to review something from their range I was rather excited. (pardon the pun!).
I perused the selection and was quite overwhelmed with the choice in fact it took me awhile to decide but I did eventually settle on a chemise so here it is!!
Now to protect my modesty I'm wearing a bra and knickers underneath!! I love this chemise the lace is supersoft and very stretchy it easily accommodated my bra (which is no mean feat!!). I love the net at the bottom with the bows as it just finishes it off and covers my bum!!
If you are in the market for something saucy then head over and see what other chemises they have to offer!

Simply Be Partner Styling Christmas Challenge*
I was recently contacted by Simply Be and asked if myself and my husband would like to take part in a Christmas Styling Challenge whereby he would put together an outfit for me and I rate it to see how well he did!!
We were both really excited to do this as my husband is quite vocal when it comes to fashion and isn't afraid to say what he likes and dislikes!!
His first challenge was to choose the items and then make a board on Polyvore (I may have had to help as he has never used Polyvore before!!). This took some time as he mooched through the available options and kept changing his mind but eventually he got there!
So here is the board that Mr S created.
1. Anna Scholz Dress
He chose this as he knows I like a good form fitting dress and currently I don't own anything like this one and he likes to see me in things that show of my figure rather than hide it. He also liked the lace overlay and decided that a long sleeved party dress would be something a bit different from what I would usually wear.
2. Sole Diva Shoes
My husband knows that as much as I like heels I am useless at walking in them so he chose a pair with a lower heel but that would still give me a party look!
3. Clutch Bag
He chose this bag as he knows I have a weakness for anything that is sparkly but I also need something that my huge phone will fit in!!
4. Statement Necklace
Having seen me eye up lots of statement necklaces he knew I would like this one and he felt that as it was white it would stand out against the outfit.
Not only was he asked to choose an outfit but he was also tasked with helping to choose make up to complete the look. Now I did ask him if he wanted to apply my make up but he ran a mile so instead he chose it and I applied it!
He thought a smokey eye and strong lipstick would be the ideal look for this outfit and plenty of eyeliner!
THE VERDICT!
So how do I think he did? Well I think he nailed it this is very much a look I would choose for myself as I have long been a fan of Anna Scholz and I don't think I have ever owned a party dress with full length sleeves. The dress itself has a very stretchy lining but the lace has little stretch so bear this in mind if you are looking at this one. I also loved the sweetheart neckline of the lining and it covered my bra (which is often an issue) and even my bra straps look like a part of the dress. The length is good it comes down to below my knee so if you are taller than me this dress is a good option. The shoes are a perfect fit and just the right height and the necklace and bag are very me!!
I think you can see from the last two pictures how happy I am with the outfit!
Here he is in all his glory the wonderful Mr S!!
So it just leaves me to say a huge thank you to Simply Be for inviting us to take part in this challenge as we had great fun and a big thank you to Mr S for having a go and picking an amazing outfit!

Party Shoe Picks!!
Hello I am back again with another look at what is on offer out there at the moment, and this time its party shoes!!!
(If you want to see my party dress picks you can do so here).
So lets get started.
1. New Look Wide Fit Black Cross Strap Glitter Heels
I have actually seen these heels in-store at my local New Look and drooled over them but ultimately didn't buy them (I may have bought another pair instead)!! I am always sucker for a bit of glitter and at £24.99 these aren't going to break the bank.
2. Anna Scholz T-Bar Studded Platform
If you would prefer something other than black then how about these platform heels from Anna Scholz for Simply Be? These are still good value at £33.00 and with the addition of the platform should be more comfortable for dancing the night away!
3. Evans Black Patent and Glitter Cut Out Shoes
If like me you are still a fan of the cut out trend then what about these beauties from Evans which are slightly different for a night out and priced at £45.00.
4. New Look Wide Fit Black Cut Out Heels
Last but by no means least if you like your heels high then why not try these platforms from New Look which at £27.99 are amazing value.
I hope you like my choices and I shall be sharing with you soon a pair of shoes that had to come home with me!!

Friday Floral OOTD
Hello and Happy Friday! I decided that as I wasn't at work today to take advantage of the light and take a quick snap of today's outfit!
I have to admit with the change of seasons I am quite enjoying going through my clothes and mixing my clothes with different shoes and adding layers to adapt them for the colder weather.
One such dress that I still adore is an ASOS Curve floral smock dress which I bought from Toni, it has seen me through the summer with leggings and sandals and now with tights and trainers.

Posing in Primark OOTD
So I am finally getting round to blogging a dress I bought a few weeks ago from Primark which if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen.
Primark at the moment in terms of dresses isn't really doing it for me but when I spotted one looking at me as I came down the escalator I had to investigate! I was shocked to find one in a size 20 right a the front of the rack which I took as a sign that this dress was meant to be!
So here it is (again sorry about the photos- I am struggling with the light due to the darker days.)
What I liked about this dress was the white collars and cuffs which give it a 60's vibe and make it different to the other dresses that I own. It is a shift style but heavy jersey with loads of stretch so it skims rather than clings and was a bargain £13.00
The boots I am going to blog separately at some point as they are amazing, chelsea boots but with brogue detailing and a mere £10!
Is Primark floating your boat at the moment?

Saturday Shopping OOTD
I thought I would quickly share with you an outfit I wore on Saturday to have a tootle around the shops.
Its an old dress from Pink Clove which I bought last year and that I tend to wear to work more than casually. I decided to dress it down with my Primark trainers and take it for a spin around the shops.
I apologise in advance for the photos but I was fighting a losing battle with the light!
I still have a great deal of love for this Pink Clove dress, yes it is a bit bobbly now but it still looks good. The cardigan is from Primark who I find are brilliant for cheap cardigans which for me are invaluable at this time of year.
I popped into the Simply Be store over at Merry Hill and did buy a dress which is coming to the blog soon!
Thanks for reading!
