Style XL August 2014

On Saturday I attended and modeled at Style XL which was organised by the lovely Leah from Thirty Something Curvy Me, it was the first Midlands based Plus Size Fashion event and I think it is fair to say everyone had a fantastic time.

I had the chance to catch up with and finally meet some more of my fellow blogger babes including the fabulous Mookie who gives the best boobie hugs ever!! Elena who wears the most gorgeous dresses and made me giggle all day, Sam who is lovely, Kim who I instantly hit it off with and who very kindly gave me a lift back to the train station and Charlie who had the most amazing jumpsuit!
I was also very excited to finally meet both Debz and Lucia and they are so lovely I was just sorry I didn't have the energy to go out for a drink afterwards with them. I even got to see the gorgeous Nancy who had her fab ice cream top on!
I also got to see again the ever fabulous Becky who had the most amazing Modcloth dress on and was in great demand as she had a fan- we all need fans!! Also in attendance was the lovely Toni who I was very pleased to see as sadly I can't make Plus North this year.

I spent the majority of my day modeling and generally hanging out with all the other models all of who were fabulous and so friendly. I did get to a quick tour of the stalls and my biggest regret as that I didn't purchase something from Nicola who runs Chunky Cat Cuddler as her jewellery and bags are awesome.

So here are some pics of the day (thank you to Mookie for some of these)

I was very lucky that the four brands I modeled for allowed me to keep my outfits and I loved the Topsy Curvy dress so much that I traveled back home in it!! I will be doing some proper blog posts on all the outfits over the coming weeks as well.

I should also say a huge well done to Leah for organizing the event I know it took a lot of work to pull it all together and everyone really enjoyed themselves. I also want to say thank you to Leah's friend Sarah who looked after us and made sure we were fed, watered and knew what when we were needed.

I am already looking forward to Style XL 2015 and don't forget you can still enter to be the face of Style XL 2015 click Here for the details.

I am also linking this post to Seeing Spots  linky as Steph is doing a blog every day in August challenge (see her blog for all the details).
