Simply Be Animal Print Dress

Last month I was lucky enough to win the choice of an item from Simply Be from the lovely Debz over at I'm a Wannabe Princess in her blog giveaway so after trawling the site I knew there was one dress that I had been looking at for ages and here it is..

Necklace from New Look.

So I went with the Animal Print Jacquard Dress as I had already seen Emma from Meet The Millards wearing the dress when I met her in person at Plus North and she looked fabulous.

I love this dress, the material is quite thick so great for winter and the exposed zip on the back and gives the dress a slightly different look. I went with a size 22 as it gives me enough room for my boobs and also allows me to wear a vest or long sleeved top underneath through the colder months.

So thank you to Debz and Simply Be for a fantastic giveaway as I love my new dress.

OMCZ #20

Hello and welcome to another OMCZ challenge.

The theme this time has been chosen by Vicky from  The Curved Opinion and she chose:

"My theme is going to "The Colour of Confidence".  For me, red is the colour of confidence and everything I wear it, be it lipstick or clothing; I feel an extra boost. What is your confidence colour?"

I don't necessarily have a colour that makes me feel really confident but I do love purple, so for this challenge and I delved into the far reaches of my wardrobe and plucked out an old faithful batwing jumper from Primark.

I have had this jumper for so long and I always feel happy and comfortable whenever I wear it, I added my Black Heart Creatives dripping heart and Primark boots for a winter look. I admit this is not a high fashion outfit but its an outfit that makes me happy!

Purple also has a poignant meaning as well for me as my Aunt passed away earlier this year and she requested that we all wear something purple to the funeral as it was her favouite colour- so this one is for you Aunty Anna xxx

Polka Dot Monday

Happy Monday (OK maybe more oh flip its Monday again) and today I have a new dress on the blog- yipee!

Recently the fabulous Becky from Does My Blog Make Me Look Fat held (and I think it is still live) blog sale where she was selling off pieces from her wardrobe. I was very excited as I not only love Becky's blog I also love her personal style.

In amongst all the gems on offer was a lovely polka dot dress from Simply Be which I knew I had to have!

So here it is..

I love this dress as it has a 50's vibe to it, in fact I thinking about getting a net petticoat to go underneath to make it even more swishy!! It has a tie round the middle which is great as it nips the dress in under the bust and even has plenty of room for my boobs which for me is great ! (this one is a size 22). As it is cold at the moment I added my excite shrug for warmth and my pointy flats from Peacocks.

So thank you to Becky for a fabulous Blog sale!

Taking Shape Isha Tunic Review*

Hello and happy Friday, if you saw my blog last week you will know that I was invited to look around Taking Shape's store in Solihull, and they have very kindly sent me the Isha Tunic Blouse for review.

I actually tried this top on when I was in the store last week and loved it, especially because it has pockets!!! I also like the pintuck detailing and despite this it still fits over my boobs without gaping.

I tried the top in a size 20 and added my Peacocks basic long sleeved top underneath as the top is quite sheer so you may want a layer underneath.

Necklace from New Look

I teamed it with my old faithful Peacocks leggings and my beloved New Look boots.

I Feel Good

Hello and welcome to this months I Feel Good Challenge...

You know sometimes when you spend ages getting ready for a night out, an event or even just a blog post, and the reflection in mirror isn't what you hoped?  This challenge is for those times when you look in the mirror, no pre planning involved, and think "I look good today".

We all have our good days and our bad, but this challenge is to record those good days and to remember that confidence, at any size, is beautiful.

This was taken after I had tried out some new make up and for the first time ever in my life I am wearing blusher!!

Mini Elf Haul

Now I will admit that until the lovely Leah from Just Me Leah mentioned ELF cosmetics on her blog I had never heard of them (I am not very up on my beauty brands-sorry!!) she mentioned one product in particular that really caught my eye and that was the HD Powder.

As luck would have it ELF then announced they were running a promotion where if you spent £20 or more you got a 50% discount. Well I didn't need to really think about it I hopped straight on and ordered some bits and pieces!

So first up is the HD powder which is designed to give a radiant complexion, I didn't notice a reduction in my fine lines but my skin felt so smooth and soft to the touch. I will agree with everyone else who has this product and say be careful how you open it so as not to throw most of the powder on the floor!

I also decided to invest a new brush so went with the Kabuki Face brush, which I am pleased to say is really soft and was great for sweeping the HD powder across my face.

I then chose to order a mineral blusher as I don't own any mineral make up so thought this would be a good one to try. The colour is lovely and a little goes a long way.

My final choice was a baked eyeshadow and I chose the shade Pixie, it has a lovely shimmer to it, and is great for everyday wear.

Here is me after trying out all my new products

My verdict I think I shall buy some more products from them as and when I need them as even before the discount the prices are good.

If you fancy taking a peek at their website here is the Link.
